The initial version of the 览卷文档（Lan Juan Wen Dang）was launched by ERNIE Bot on June 21, 2023, under the name "ChatFile." At that time, ChatFile allowed users to perform question and summary tasks based on lengthy documents and was one of the first plugins to be made available by Baidu's ERNIE Bot. However, due to the English name being less friendly to Chinese users, it was rebranded as "览卷文档" and relaunched on August 16, 2023, with improved functionality. The 览卷文档 enables users to upload documents of up to 10MB (currently supporting .doc, .docx, and .pdf formats, but not scanned documents). Users can use this plugin to generate summaries, engage in question and answer interactions, and perform creative tasks based on the uploaded documents. For example, users can upload an article or report, and the plugin will automatically generate a summary of the document and allow interactive Q&A sessions related to the document's content, providing users with answers based on the document's contents. This allows users to quickly access the core information of the document, search for specific information, and significantly improve their work efficiency.
